UN Chief Guterres to Address Nepal’s Federal Parliament on October 15

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is set to address Nepal’s Federal Parliament during his upcoming four-day official visit, starting on October 14. The visit follows an invitation from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who had discussions with Guterres in New York in September and Rome, Italy, in July.

On October 15th at 4 pm, there is a planned event for Guterres to speak at a joint meeting of the Parliament.

Following his engagements in Nepal, Guterres will leave Kathmandu for Beijing on October 17. This visit marks his second trip to Nepal, with his previous visit dating back to May 2007 when he served as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
