US Assistant Secretary of State Lu Meets Foreign Minister

United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, who had arrived in Kathmandu earlier today, held talks with Foreign Minister NP Saud.

The meeting, held on Friday afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing various development initiatives.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed Nepal’s graduation from least developed countries to a developing country in 2026. Bilateral relations between the two countries and the continuation and increase of the assistance received from the US to Nepal were also discussed.

Foreign Minister Saud expressed his gratitude to Assistant Secretary Lu for the regular support received from the US and the special support received during the COVID-19 crisis.
