Weather Forecast: Mainly Fair Conditions Expected Across Nepal Today

Nepal is set to experience predominantly fair-weather conditions today, with partial impacts from the Westerly low-pressure system currently affecting the region.

According to meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini, the hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim provinces, and others will observe partly cloudy skies during the afternoon, while the remainder of the country will experience mainly fair weather.

Pudasaini further mentioned that there might be light snowfall in isolated areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions in Gandaki and Karnali provinces. However, he assured that there are no predictions of rainfall, with the weather expected to remain largely fair for the day. Cloud cover is expected to increase starting tonight.

In Kathmandu Valley, the current atmospheric temperature stands at 14 degrees Celsius, with a visibility range of six kilometers. The minimum temperature recorded earlier today was 7.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is anticipated to range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.

Tonight, the weather in the hilly regions, including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, will be partly to generally cloudy, whereas the rest of the regions will experience mainly fair conditions. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has also forecasted the possibility of light snowfall in a few areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces during the night.
