Young Woman Killed, Another Injured in Pokhara Road Accident

A tragic road accident resulted in the death of a young woman and injuries to another in Pokhara on Tuesday night. The incident occurred near the Pokhara International Airport at Chauthe, Pokhara-14.

Khushi Pradhan, 19, from Khasibazar in Pokhara-14, was fatally injured when a Kathmandu-bound bus collided with her scooter. Khushi and her friend Dipika Gurung, who was riding pillion, were immediately taken to the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences. Despite efforts to save her, Khushi succumbed to her injuries, confirmed the police.

Dipika Gurung, from Simalchaur in Pokhara-7, sustained injuries but is reported to be out of danger.

Authorities have detained the bus driver and impounded the vehicle as part of the ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
