
11 Arrested Across Nepal for Criminal Activities


Nepal Police have arrested 11 individuals from various parts of the country on charges of involvement in drug-related and financial crimes, according to the Central Police Newsroom.
The arrests were made in Rautahat, Bardiya, Chitwan, and Sarlahi as part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal activities.
In Bardiya’s Badaiyatala Rural Municipality-2, police apprehended 31-year-old Sagar Shrestha along with four others for possession of a substance suspected to be brown heroin.
Similarly, in Chitwan’s Kalika Municipality-6, authorities arrested an 18-year-old individual carrying 450 grams of hashish, while 27-year-old Sameer Pariyar was also taken into custody from the same location.
Additionally, four individuals were arrested in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4 along Lankulakshmi Path. They were found with approximately 50 grams of cannabis, other banned narcotics, and cash amounting to Rs 95,700.
Meanwhile, in Sarlahi, police arrested 27-year-old Mukesh Kumar Soni, a resident of Rajwada-9, Sitamarhi, India, for possession of fake currency notes. Authorities recovered one counterfeit Rs 500 note and twenty-nine fake Rs 100 notes from Suknaha Bazaar, Ishwarpur Municipality-15.
Police officials have stated that investigations are ongoing, and legal action will be taken against those involved in these criminal activities.
