229 Women Undergo Cervical Cancer Screening at CPN (UML) National Women Conference

A total of 229 women attending the national women conference of the CPN (UML) underwent cervical cancer screening, as reported by the Federation of National Health Workers who hosted the assembly.

Sharada Khanal, Vice-Chair of the Federation, informed RSS that the screenings were conducted using ‘AHPV DN technology.’ This advanced method aims to detect early signs of cervical cancer, thereby providing an opportunity for timely intervention and treatment.

The results of these screenings will be available in about a month, according to Khanal. She emphasized the importance of such health initiatives in empowering women with knowledge and access to healthcare, potentially saving lives through early detection of cervical cancer.

The initiative highlights the proactive steps taken by the Federation of National Health Workers in collaboration with CPN (UML) to address women’s health issues and promote preventive healthcare practices among the attendees of the conference.
