3,700 houses at high risk of monsoon-induced disaster

As many as 3,757 houses are at high risk of monsoon-induced disasters in Kavrepalanchowk this year.

The monitoring and evaluation data shows that the highest number of residents from Mandandeupur municipality are at high risk of natural disasters.

It was shared at a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee that as many as 3,757 households were highly vulnerable to natural disasters. The Kavrepalanchowk Chapter of the Nepal Red Cross Society shared the data at the meeting.

The highest number of 785 households in Mandadeupur are facing a high risk of disaster while Bethanchowk Rural Municipality saw the lowest number of 158 households at high risk of the disaster.

The committee urged high-risk households to adopt safety measures.
