CM of Madhesh Dismisses Six Ministers
On Saturday, Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh of Madhesh Province took decisive action by dismissing six ministers from his provincial cabinet.
The ministers, representing a diverse range of political parties including CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialists), Nepal Sanghiya Samajwadi Party, and Nagarik Unmukti Party, were relieved of their duties following consultations with the UML and Nepali Congress.
The dismissed ministers are as follows:
-Finance Minister Bharat Bahadur Sah
-Industry and Tourism Minister Yubaraj Bhattarai
-Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperative Minister Gobinda Bahadur Neupane
-Energy, Irrigation, and Drinking Water Minister Bechi Lungeli
-Home and Communication Minister Bimala Ansari
-Labour and Transportation Minister Urmila Chaudhary
Chief Minister Singh emphasized that this decision was made in accordance with the new coalition dynamics aimed at securing a vote of confidence today. He acknowledged the contributions of the dismissed ministers while noting that their resignation would have been preferable. Singh clarified that the ministers were dismissed with their consent.
