UML Demands PM Dahal’s Immediate Resignation
The CPN-UML has called for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to resign immediately, citing a loss of majority in the parliament.
After attending a parliamentary party meeting held at the parliament building in New Baneshwor this morning, Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula stated that it is not fair for PM Dahal to remain in office after losing his majority.
The meeting also welcomed the efforts of the Nepali Congress to form a new government.
Chief Whip Bartaula further clarified that the present government cannot make any decisions since it no longer holds a majority in the parliament. He urged the government not to take any actions against the constitution and the nation.
In response to PM Dahal’s decision to seek a vote of confidence, UML has decided to vote against him.
