Process to Provide Drinking Water to Dharan Moves Forward, PM Oli Confirms Mayor Harka

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the process of providing drinking water to the residents of Dharan has moved forward. He shared this information during a meeting with a delegation from the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, led by Mayor Harkaraj Rai, at the Prime Minister’s Office, Singhadurbar today.

“Dharan residents must have access to drinking water. This process has begun today. The federal government will facilitate necessary arrangements, including budget management and other matters. Please convey this message to the people of Dharan,” said Prime Minister Oli.

A detailed project report for the drinking water project has already been prepared by the federal government. Mayor Rai had earlier requested the Ministry of Finance to ensure the availability of resources for the project.

Prime Minister Oli also emphasized the need to create a modern, technology-based landfill site for waste management in Dharan, rather than relying on traditional methods.
