Candidates Allocated Election Symbols for NA Election

In preparation for the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election scheduled for January 25, candidates have been officially assigned their respective election symbols. The Election Commission, in accordance with the established election schedule, carried out the allocation process today, providing symbols to candidates from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

According to Shaligram Sharma Poudel, the Election Commission Spokesperson, the distribution of election symbols took place across all seven provinces, ensuring a fair and organized process. The candidates, representing eight different political parties, received their symbols from the respective offices of the election officers.

A total of 51 candidates are set to compete in the NA election, with representation from Koshi Province and Madhes Province fielding five candidates each. The Bagmati Province has the highest number of contestants with 15, followed by eight in Gandaki, and six each in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

The allocation of election symbols marks a crucial step in the electoral process, providing candidates with a unique identifier for the voters. As the nation gears up for the January 25 election, political fervor is expected to intensify, with candidates actively campaigning to secure support from the electorate. The Election Commission remains committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process for the benefit of the democratic values upheld by the nation.
