Charge-sheet filed against Rajbhandari
The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has file a charge-sheet at the Special Court against the then Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Madhukar Prasad Rajbhandari, at the special court today.
The case was filed against Rajbhandari on the charge of indulging in financial irregularities to amass property illegally.
CIAA Assistant Spokesperson Devi Prasad Thpaliya said the CIAA filed a case of corruption against Rajbhandari demanding Rs 35.6 million in fine worth the embezzlement.
He retired from the government service on September 16, 2022. The graft case was filed against Rajbhandari after he was found to have amassed Rs 35.6 million illegally by abusing his authority.
The CIAA has also sought seizure of the property in the name of accused Rajbhandari and his wife, Deepa.
