Cooperation between Govt and financial institutions vital for SDGs: PM Prachanda

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda’ has said that the cooperation of private sectors and financial institutions with the government is necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Addressing the International Conference on Financing for Nepal on Friday, Prime Minister Prachanda mentioned that the government is eager to conduct effective cooperation with financial institutions, development partners and private sectors to achieve the SDGs.

“On the way to meet SDGs, we have identified major, important sectors to which investment is needed. These areas are physical infrastructure, energy, tourism, agriculture and production. For common prosperity and to meet the country’s SDGs, private sector and financial institutions’ support and cooperation are needed,” PM Prachanda said.

He added, “We are trying to fill the gap in Nepal’s investment through new and sustainable solutions. The government is committed to working with international partners to attract foreign investments and create new opportunities. We are eager to have an effective cooperation with financial institutions, development partners and private sectors to meet our practices for our development”.
