Crime Division Officer Shoots and Arrests Fugitive in Lal Mohammad Murder Case

The Kathmandu Valley Crime Division has shot and arrested fugitive criminal Guddu Patel, an Indian national from Bihar, in connection with the Lal Mohammad murder case.

Patel was apprehended in Tokha, Kathmandu, following a pursuit by the Crime Division team. According to SP Kaji Kumar Acharya, spokesperson of the Crime Division Office, the police had been tracking Patel after receiving information about his presence in Nepal.

Upon spotting him in the Tokha area, police officers instructed Patel to surrender. However, Patel attempted to flee, prompting the police to fire two warning shots into the air. When he continued to resist, officers shot him in the knee and took him into custody.

Patel was initially taken to a local hospital for treatment and later transferred to Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical attention.

SP Acharya confirmed Patel’s involvement as the primary shooter in the murder of controversial figures Lal Mohammad Darji, also known as Lal Mohammad and Lal Singh, in Gothatar in 2079 BS.

The Crime Division has announced that further details will be released shortly.
