Dissatisfaction expressed in Rastriya Swatantra Party

Dissatisfaction has started to be expressed in the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chaired by Rabi Lamichhane. The dissatisfaction is regarding the proportional election of policymakers.

The RSP had earlier chosen the names of those who received the most votes in the primary election last October in the closed list of the House of Representatives.

But now, some leaders complained, the party has included the names of those who got an insignificant number of votes in the list of proportional representation candidates.

Lal Bikram Thapa, a defeated candidate from RSP from Sunsari-2, has written status on social media and stressed that the party should take the right path.

Some disgruntled leaders of the party are protesting at the central office in Bashundhara today against the party’s intention.

The party has won 7 seats under the first-past-the-post system and 13 seats under the proportional category.
