A suspect involved in drug trafficking and indecent behavior has been arrested in Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu, with a pistol and illegal drugs, police confirmed.
The District Police Range, Kathmandu, reported the seizure of a pistol, two magazines, 10 rounds of bullets, 250 grams of Poland (a narcotic substance), and 500 Tramadol tablets from the residence of 33-year-old Sudan Joshi. Joshi was residing in the house of Mira Tamang in Bhadgaun, Ward No. 2, Gokarneshwor Municipality.
Acting on a tip-off regarding illegal weapons, a team from Police Circle Swayambhu conducted a raid, leading to the discovery and seizure of the contraband, according to Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara.
Authorities have obtained a five-day remand extension from the Kathmandu District Court to continue investigations. Joshi has a criminal history, having been previously charged with indecent behavior in 2061, 2067, and 2068 BS, as well as drug-related offenses in 2068 and 2074 BS.
