Eight Suspects in Rinku Kumari Sada Case Made Public by Police

The District Police Office, Siraha, on Friday publicly disclosed the identities of eight individuals arrested in connection with the gang rape and suspected death of 17-year-old Rinku Kumari Sada from Bhagawatipur, Nawaraj rural municipality-1.

Among the arrested, Rupesh Mandal is alleged to be the mastermind behind the rape, while Nathuni Shah, a ward member, is accused of participating in a local informal mediation (panchayat) that reportedly pressured the victim to settle the case internally.

Other suspects arrested for their involvement in the mediation include Ram Kripal Mandal, Bindeshwor Shah, Rajendra Mandal, Chandeshwor Mandal, Rambinod Mandal, and Kamalesh Das, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan.

Chandeshwor, Ram Binod, and Kamalesh were apprehended on February 23, while the prime accused, Rupesh Mandal, was arrested on March 5. The remaining suspects were taken into custody from various hideouts on Friday. Police said four other accused are still at large, and further investigations are ongoing.
