Fast Electric Charging Station Opens Along Narayangadh-Butwal Highway

A fast-charging station for electric vehicles has been inaugurated in Kawasoti-11, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East), providing a much-needed facility along the 114-km Narayangadh-Butwal highway.

The station, capable of simultaneously charging five small and large vehicles, was established by local entrepreneur Bishnu Adhikari with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority. The project, set up on five katthas of land, involved an investment of Rs 10 million.

Adhikari has also outlined plans to open a refreshment center for drivers. The station, which operates 24/7, is currently the only charging facility along the highway. On average, it can accommodate up to 50 vehicles daily, though road expansion delays have posed some challenges.

Once the ongoing road expansion project is completed, the facility plans to add 10 more charging nozzles to enhance service capacity.
