Four-Hour Daily Traffic Halt on Narayangadh-Muglin Road from Dec 23

In a move to facilitate the construction of a crucial bridge, vehicular traffic on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section will face a daily closure lasting four hours, starting from December 23. The decision comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Project West Section to enhance the road infrastructure.

Krishna Acharya, the Information Officer of Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Project West Section (Narayangadh-Muglin), stated that the closure will be enforced daily from 11 am to 3 pm, with the initial phase extending over three weeks. The purpose of the closure is to clear a hill on the roadside to make way for the construction of a vital bridge.

Out of the 19 bridges on the Narayangadh-Muglin road, four were completed four years ago. Among the remaining 15 bridges, some are in the final stages of completion, while others have already been finished. The project aims to make eight bridges operational within two months, and an additional four within a month. The Khare Bridge, the last one to be completed, is expected to become operational within six months.

The Narayangadh-Muglin road is a key transportation route to and from the capital, witnessing the daily passage of more than 10,000 vehicles. The road closure is anticipated to cause inconvenience for commuters, but the development is crucial for the overall improvement and safety of the road infrastructure in the region.
