Government Decision: Transfer of Three AIGs and Posting of One
The government has enacted the transfer of three Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs) of Nepal Police and the posting of one newly promoted AIG.
During the cabinet meeting held on Monday, AIG Deepak Thapa, Kiran Bajracharya, and Shyamalal Gyawali were transferred, while Ram Dutt Joshi was Posted.
Previously, the Police Headquarters had proposed the transfer of three additional AIGs alongside the posting of the newly promoted AIG Ram Dutt Joshi.
In the meeting, the newly appointed AIG Joshi was assigned to the Nepal Police Headquarters Operation Department in Naxal. Concurrently, the chiefs of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari (Metro), and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) were also transferred.
According to the transfer details, AIG Deepak Thapa, previously the chief of Metro, Ranipokhari, has been reassigned to the CIB in Lajimpat. AIG Kiran Bajracharya of the Nepal Police Headquarters Operation Department has been moved to the Valley Police Office in Ranipokhari. Following Thapa’s transfer to CIB, Shyamalal Gyawali has been placed in the Nepal Police Headquarters, Provincial Coordination Department, Naxal.
