
Government Urges Agitating Teachers to Resume Classes

The government has called on protesting teachers to return to their classrooms, urging them to suspend their ongoing demonstrations in light of pressing academic responsibilities.
During a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the government appealed to the teachers to consider the ongoing school enrollment period, the evaluation of SEE answer sheets, and the upcoming national examinations for grade 12 students.
Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Bidya Bhattarai, announced that the government has decided to convene a session of the federal parliament on April 22 to pass the long-awaited School Education Bill.
She emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the Federation of Nepal Teachers, noting that their grievances are being taken seriously.
