Hong Kong Sets Nepal 115-Run Target in ACC Premier Cup Cricket

In the ongoing ACC Premier Cup Cricket in Oman, Hong Kong has set Nepal a target of 115 runs. Batting first after losing the toss at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1), Hong Kong managed to score 114 runs in 17 overs, losing all wickets.

Hong Kong’s Anshe Rath emerged as the top scorer with 34 runs. Nepal’s Abinash Bohara showcased a brilliant bowling performance, claiming 3 wickets, while Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee secured 2 wickets each. Karan KC contributed with 1 wicket. The game was momentarily halted in the 18th over due to adverse weather conditions.

Nepal, undefeated in their previous matches, currently leads Group ‘A’, topping the points table. On the other hand, Hong Kong, having won one match, sits in fourth place.

In Group ‘A’, Malaysia and Qatar are currently in contention, while under Group ‘B’, Oman faces the UAE, and Bahrain takes on Kuwait later today at 4:45 pm.

Nepal competes in Group ‘A’ alongside Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Group ‘B’ comprises Bahrain, Cambodia, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The top two teams from each group will secure spots in the semifinals, with the ultimate victor earning the coveted opportunity to compete in the prestigious Asia Cup.
