Insignia Awarded to Promoted Brigadier General Karki
Chief of Army Staff General Ashokraj Sigdel on Tuesday presented the insignia to Brigadier General Madhukar Singh Karki, marking his promotion to the rank of Major General. The ceremony took place at Jangi Adda, where General Sigdel awarded the badge to Karki, who has now been appointed as the Co-Coordinator of the Secretariat of the National Security Council.
In the same program, General Sigdel also conferred the Brigadier General rank insignia to newly promoted officers: Technician Dentist Colonel Dr. Sameer Aryal, Colonel Jagdish Khadka, and Colonel Amrit Kazi Gurung. Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Shailendra Koirala was promoted to the rank of Colonel and received his badge during the event.
In a separate ceremony held on Friday, General Sigdel awarded the rank of Lieutenant to four officer cadets who were selected for the 61st officer basic training. These cadets recently returned home after successfully completing their training at the Indian Military Academy in India.
These promotions and awards are part of the continuous efforts to strengthen the leadership within the army and recognize the dedication and achievements of its officers.
