International Committee Appeals Global Community for Bipin Joshi’s Release from Hamas Captivity

The International Relations and Tourism Committee, operating under the House of Representatives, has urgently called upon the international community, including the Hamas military group, to expedite efforts for the release of Bipin Joshi.

Joshi, a Nepali student, was among those taken captive during the orchestrated attack by Hamas on October 7 in southern Israel.

Chairperson Raj Kishor Yadav conveyed the committee’s plea following a meeting on Thursday, emphasizing the need for swift and unconditional action. “We have requested international powers, including Hamas, for the unconditional release of Bipin Joshi,” stated Chairman Yadav. “Nepal is a non-partisan country, advocating for peace, and our citizens should not be held hostage without any reason.”

The situation has reached a critical juncture, with no information on Joshi’s whereabouts for the past 52 days. Tragically, the attack has  claimed the lives of ten Nepali students, heightening concerns about the safety and well-being of those still in captivity.
