Janakpur Bolts Celebrate NPL Triumph with Trophy Parade in Janakpurdham
Janakpur Bolts, the champions of the inaugural Nepal Premier League (NPL) T20 Cricket Championship, celebrated their historic victory with a grand “trophy parade” in Janakpurdham today.
The parade began at the Ramjanaki International Stadium and concluded at the iconic Janaki Temple premises, covering key landmarks in the city, including Thapa Chowk, Pidari Chowk, Ramananda Chowk, Bajranga Chowk, and Zero Mile, among others.
Thousands of cricket enthusiasts, civil society members, and residents joined the celebratory procession, creating a festive atmosphere across the city.
Janakpur Bolts secured the NPL T20 title with an impressive five-wicket victory over Sudurpaschim Royals in the final held at the TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu on December 21. The team’s trophy tour began today in Madhes Province, marking their triumph in style.
The event not only celebrated the team’s success but also brought the community together, showcasing the growing passion for cricket in the region.
