Janamat Party Lacks ‘Cooperative Attitude’: Upendra Yadav

In a scathing critique, Upendra Yadav, the Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), has lambasted the Janamat Party for what he perceives as a lack of cooperative behavior, accusing them of hasty departure from the Madhes government.

Yadav did not mince words, stating, “They ran away from the government because they lack a cooperative attitude. It has no inclination to cooperate.” The JSP leader emphasized the crucial need for maintaining certain behaviors within a coalition and expressed disappointment in the Janamat Party’s departure.

“They could not uphold it. A non-political character was evident, displaying impatience and flightiness. Cooperation should be approached differently,” he added, underscoring the importance of a cooperative spirit in coalition politics.

Yadav attributed the Janamat Party’s exit to its contradictory stance within the coalition. Despite advocating for reforms, they seemingly abandoned their concerns amid ongoing chaos, leaving many perplexed about their commitment to their stated goals.

The JSP Chairman stressed the urgent need for an improved political culture, emphasizing that such abrupt exits only contribute to instability in the region. He urged political parties to prioritize cooperation over individual interests for the greater good of the Madhes Province.

The Janmat Party, in a surprising move, officially withdrew from the Madhes government on Tuesday. Citing extreme oppression by Saroj Kumar Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhes Province, as the reason for their departure, the move has stirred political tensions and raised questions about the future dynamics of the Madhes government.
