Karki’s Cabinet Grows: New Appointments in Koshi
Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has bolstered his cabinet just 17 days after taking office. On Monday, Chief Minister Karki welcomed two ministers and two ministers of state into his cabinet.
Previously, Chief Minister Karki had appointed Til Kumar Meyangbo, Panch Karna Rai, and Ek Raj Karki as ministers, with Sirjana Rai serving as Minister of State when he was sworn in on September 8. His latest additions to the cabinet are Lila Ballabh Adhikari and Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari as ministers, and Ram Prasad Mahato and Niran Rai as ministers of state.
Hikmat Kumar Karki assumed the role of Chief Minister in accordance with the Supreme Court’s order as per Article 168 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal. He is required to secure a vote of confidence within 30 days of his appointment.

Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari – Minister for Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy
Ram Prasad Mahto – Minister of State for Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives
Sirjana Rai – Minister of State for Social Development
Niran Rai – Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning
