Koshi Province Police Launches Campaign Against Substance Abuse

Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among the three tiers of government to effectively combat drug abuse. Speaking at the launch of an awareness program titled ‘Fight Onward Against Drug Abuse’ organized by the Koshi Province Police, the Chief Minister called for immediate action to address the growing issue of substance abuse.

Karki urged federal, provincial, and local governments to work together and implement awareness campaigns before the problem escalates further. “The three-tier governments must collaboratively reach out to communities and educate them about the devastating consequences of drug abuse,” he said.

The Chief Minister also pledged to allocate a dedicated budget in the upcoming fiscal year to support initiatives aimed at curbing drug addiction. The program aims to raise awareness, prevent substance abuse, and provide support to affected individuals and families.

The Koshi Province Police’s initiative underscores the importance of collective action in tackling the widespread issue of drug abuse, ensuring a healthier and safer society.
