Lalita Niwas land scam: One more arrested

Police have made another arrest in connection with the Lalita Niwas land scam.

Binod Poudel, a former assistant accountant at the Samarjung company, was apprehended by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police on Wednesday afternoon in Gokarna.

Poudel stands accused of involvement in forging government documents to fraudulently transfer ownership of government land at Lalita Niwas into the names of private individuals. His arrest marks the fifteenth person to be apprehended in connection with this elaborate scam.
