Lamichhane’s Warning: Old Parties Must Act Now!

Rabi Lamichhane, the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has called upon the old political parties in the country to join forces for the betterment of the nation.

In a recent Facebook post, Lamichhane appealed to these parties to form a consensus government over the next four years, highlighting the urgency of the situation and the need to rectify the country’s current state of affairs. He offered his party’s support by stating that the RSP would take on the role of the opposition during this period.

He emphasized the importance of their collaboration, suggesting that it might be the final opportunity to address the issues that have plagued the country for the past 33 years.

He discouraged the use of the term “Mission 84” for their initiative and instead proposed “Mission 80,” citing a history of opportunities for the old parties starting from “Mission 07.”

Lamichhane urged the old parties to work diligently, demonstrating their capabilities and earning the people’s trust. “Only four prudent decisions can bring significant improvement to the country. You have four years to decide and demonstrate your capabilities,” Lamichhane stated.

In a poignant remark, Lamichhane indicated that one “chapter” of politics must be closed, leaving the choice to the established parties and his own.

Lastly, he reminded them that he warned them about the need for change four years ago, urging them to reflect on his message.
