
Man Caught with Nearly 7kg of Cannabis at TIA


Authorities at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have arrested an Indian national in possession of nearly seven kilograms of cannabis.
According to TIA Security Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Somendra Singh Rathaur, the 27-year-old man was apprehended upon his arrival in Nepal on a Thai Air flight late Sunday night. During a routine luggage inspection at the arrivals terminal, security personnel discovered 6.97 kilograms of cannabis concealed in his baggage.
The suspect has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation.
