Minister Gurung calls for focus on development

Minister for Urban Development Sita Gurung emphasized that political parties should focus on development and construction works.

In a discussion with the stakeholders regarding handover of a public land to the municipality in Kakadvitta of Koshi Province on Friday, Minister Gurung reiterated that they should pay attention to the agenda of development and construction. The event was organized by Mechi municipality to hand over the ownership of 60 bigahas of land belonging to the National Residence Company to the municipality itself.

Stating that none should politicize development and construction, Minister Gurung stressed that political unity and cooperation in Koshi Province should become a model of the province.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress General-Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma urged the employees of the municipality to work confidently and pledged utmost cooperation from the political parties.

Municipality Mayor Gopal Budhathoki handed over the document containing all details of the land owned by the Company to Minister Gurung and requested the Minister for her positive intervention to resolve the land related issues at the earliest.
