Multiplexes to show live World Cup match from today
As the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will begin from today, multiplexes in the Kathmandu Valley is all ready to show the live FIFA World Cup matches.
The multiplexes in the Kathmandu Valley have agreed to show football matches in coordination with Media Hub.
Multiplex companies have reached an agreement with Media Hub, which has obtained exclusive broadcast rights to the FIFA World Cup broadcast, to show the quarter-finals matches.
One Cinemas Multiplex is showing a football match between Brazil and Croatia in the Iplex Mall in New Baneshwor and the cinema hall in Kalimati at 8:30 PM. The hall opened advance booking on Wednesday evening and announced that it will show live football on Friday.
Similarly, Big Movies at Kamalpokhari will show the semi-final and final match. INI Cinemas will show football from the halls of Lhotse Mall in Gongabu and Cineplex will show the match in Pokhara and Chitwan.
These halls are going to show football on the basis of the ticket percentage sharing agreement.
QFX Cinemas is also preparing to show the final match in its halls.
Today, the first quarterfinal match will be between Croatia and Brazil. The match will start at 9:00 pm. This match will be played at Education City Stadium.
Similarly, the Netherlands and Argentina will face each other in the second quarter-final match which will start at 1:50 in the middle of the night. This match will be played at Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The winners of these two quarterfinals will meet in the semi-finals.
