NC Decides to Nominate Candidate for National Assembly Chairperson

the Nepali Congress (NC) has announced its decision to nominate a candidate for the position of Chairperson of the National Assembly. This decision was made during a crucial meeting of office bearers held at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha.

Leader Arjun Narsingh KC, speaking on behalf of the party, confirmed the decision, indicating the NC’s intent to actively participate in the leadership of the upper house of Nepal’s Parliament.

The post of the Chairperson of the National Assembly has been left vacant following the departure of Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who served in the position for six years. The NC’s decision to nominate a candidate underscores its commitment to fulfilling this important constitutional role.

Furthermore, the NC has expressed its willingness to engage in discussions with other  parties to garner support for their candidate.
