NC President Deuba aggrieved over Bhattarai’s demise

Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed grief over the demise of former central member of Nepal democracy fighters’ association and president of NC Byas Municipal Committee, Badrihari Bhattarai.

Bhattarai, 77, died last night while being treated at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur.

Issuing a condolence note today, President Deuba expressed grief and extended tribute to the departed leader and condolences to the bereaved family members on behalf of Nepali Congress and on his own.

Bhattarai jailed for two years in course of democratic struggles. He was arrested during Tarun struggle in 2029BS and detained frequently. President Deuba observed that NC lost a senior leader with the demise of Bhattarai.
