Nepal Secures Third Consecutive Win in ACC Premier Cup T20 Tournament

Nepal clinched their third consecutive victory in the ongoing ACC Premier Cup League T20 cricket tournament in Oman.

Facing off against Hong Kong on Monday, Nepal dominated the match, securing an impressive 8-wicket win and edging closer to the semi-finals. With this win, Nepal solidified their position at the top of the group with 6 points.

Led by an outstanding performance from their opening pair, Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel, who contributed 40 and 32 runs respectively, Nepal successfully chased down Hong Kong’s target of 115 runs in just 12.2 overs.

Captain Rohit Paudel and Sandeep Jora also made valuable contributions, scoring 25 and 19 runs respectively.

In the bowling department, Nepal displayed exemplary teamwork, with key contributions from Abinash Bohara, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Dipendra Singh Airee, who took crucial wickets to restrict Hong Kong to 114 runs.

With this win, Nepal reaffirms its position as a formidable contender in the tournament, setting the stage for an exciting clash against Saudi Arabia on April 17.

The tournament, which features 10 participating teams including Malaysia, Qatar, and Hong Kong, serves as crucial preparation for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, with the winning team earning a spot in the ACC Cup 2025.
