Nepal-US Joint Military Drill on Post-Disaster Response Begins

The fourth edition of the joint military drill between Nepali and US security forces kicked off today. The exercise focuses on sharing knowledge and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of post-disaster search and rescue operations.
According to the Nepal Army’s Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the joint drill will take place in Kathmandu, Makwanpur, and Dhading districts.
This collaborative training, first initiated in 2012, aims to boost disaster response capabilities by exchanging experiences in disaster management and humanitarian assistance. The drill will conclude on September 20.
