PADT objects to notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd

The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has expressed its objection over a notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd disallowing taking video of the ‘Ganga Aarati’ ritual held on the bank of the Bagmati river at the Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps at the core area.

Issuing a notice today, PADT Managing Council executive director Laxmi Pun said that the serious attention of PADT was drawn towards the notice published by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.

“Taking video of the Ganga Aarati organised on the bank of Bagmati river in Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps in the core area is strictly prohibited. We notify that action would be taken in accordance with the Digital Copyright Act if the video contents taken here are uploaded or shared for commercial purpose in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube,” reads the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.

PADT also denounced the Pvt Ltd’s notice for using the PADT logo and name as well. It said PADT has no involvement whatsoever in the notice published by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.
