Prime Minister Dahal Meets Chinese President Xi Jinping During Official Visit to China
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ arrived in China for an official visit and held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hongzhou City on Saturday.
Prime Minister Dahal, who had just arrived from New York, is in China for a week, coinciding with the Asian Games being held in the city. He was warmly received by Minister for Sports and General Administration of the Chinese government and Chinese Olympic Committee Chair, Gao Zhidan.
Chinese President Xi hosted a welcome banquet in honor of Prime Minister Dahal and his Nepali delegation. A delegation-level discussion took place between the Nepali and Chinese teams in the city.
Prime Minister Dahal is also scheduled to visit Beijing during his stay in China and have a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Prime Minister.
