RPP Refrains from Endorsing Koshi Province CM Candidate

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has officially declared its decision not to endorse any candidate for the Chief Minister’s position in the Koshi Province. This decision comes after a meeting held today, during which the party determined that none of the candidates seeking their support met the necessary criteria for their endorsement.

RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha emphasized the party’s meticulous evaluation of the situation in Koshi province. He stated, “We are closely monitoring the developments in the region. While two contenders, Indra Angbo and Kedar Karki, have each garnered equal support with 47/47 signatures, we have not found it necessary to throw our weight behind any particular candidate at this time. However, we remain open to reassessing our stance as the situation demands.”

Within the ruling coalition in Koshi, both Indra Angbo of the Maoists and Kedar Karki of the Nepali Congress, supported by the CPN-UML, have asserted their claims for the Chief Minister’s position. The RPP’s decision adds an intriguing twist to the ongoing political dynamics in the province.
