RSP Candidate Milan Limbu Found Violating Election Code in Ilam-2 By-Election

Milan Limbu, the candidate from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for the Ilam-2 by-election, has been caught violating the election code of conduct. A social media photograph of Limbu voting while wearing a badge adorned with his party’s election symbol prompted immediate action by the Election Commission.

The incident occurred at the Dahagaon polling station in Mangsebung-2. Following the circulation of the photo, the District Election Office in Ilam investigated and confirmed the violation. Limbu was subsequently directed to remove the badge, aligning with the rules that prohibit showcasing party symbols at polling stations.

The election code of conduct clearly bans the display of any badges, attire, or symbols that could influence voters or highlight affiliations with specific candidates or parties during the electoral process.
