RSP Leaders Deep in Discussion on Crucial Cooperative Issues

The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) held yesterday witnessed a robust debate centered around the crucial topic of cooperatives. Dr. Swarnim Wagle, the Vice Chairman of the Party and Member of Parliament, took the floor to deliver a comprehensive briefing on the current state of cooperatives across the country.

With 40 central members in attendance, the meeting, presided over by Wagle, who also serves as the Coordinator of the party’s Finance Department, delved into the intricacies of cooperatives. The highlight of the gathering was the presentation of a draft report on cooperatives, outlining key aspects and issues faced by these entities nationwide.

Following Wagle’s detailed presentation, party leaders reached a unanimous decision that all party members in the Parliament would actively advocate for cooperative issues in the upcoming sessions of the House of Representatives. The party aims to bring attention to critical matters such as profit and loss analysis within cooperatives, membership statistics, instances of fraud, and other pertinent details affecting their functioning.

Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, acknowledging the importance of the presented draft report, declared that he would thoroughly review the document. Dr. Wagle, who has compiled the detailed report on the status of cooperatives in the country, emphasized its comprehensive nature, covering various aspects that impact the cooperative sector.

The report, once officially received by the party, will serve as the foundation for drafting a letter to the government. This letter will include specific recommendations based on the findings and analysis presented in the report, reflecting the RSP’s commitment to addressing and improving the status of cooperatives in the country.

As the Rastriya Swatantra Party takes a firm stance on cooperative issues, it sets the stage for active engagement and advocacy within the parliamentary arena, with the potential to influence policies that will shape the future of cooperatives in the nation.
