School Textbooks Delivered to Jumla Ahead of New Academic Year

In a positive development for education in Karnali Province, the mountainous district of Jumla has received school textbooks ahead of the new academic session, which begins on New Year’s Day, 2082 BS.
Thanks to timely printing and efficient distribution, textbooks for Grades 1 to 5 have already arrived at the district headquarters in Khalanga, ensuring students can begin the academic year with the necessary materials.
According to Suman Khadka, proprietor of Sandhya Stationery, the books were delivered in advance to support uninterrupted learning. So far, eight community schools have received their supplies, though several others are yet to collect theirs due to ongoing teacher protests and the absence of staff in the district.
Several local stationery providers – including JP Stationery, Sandhya Stationery, Darpan Stationery, Karnali Stationery, and Dipkailash Stationery – have been involved in distributing the textbooks to public schools across the region.
There are a total of 145 community schools in the district, according to the Education Development and Coordination Unit, and efforts are ongoing to ensure all schools are equipped before the academic year begins.
