
Second National Horticulture Expo 2081 to Begin at Bhrikutimandap

The Second National Horticulture Expo 2081 is set to begin at the local Bhrikutimandap from Thursday. The exhibition will run until April 13. According to the event organizer, Nursery Association Nepal, all preparations for the expo have been completed.
Rabin Kumar Gautam, the Expo coordinator and senior vice-president of the Association, said that an extensive exhibition of commercial nursery products such as flowers, fruits, agricultural plants, forestry, and herbs will be organized this year as an integrated mega fair for the entire nursery sector.
More than 700 species of plants grown by flower nurseries, fruit nurseries, agro-forestry nurseries, and herbal nurseries from across the country will be displayed and put on sale at the expo. The event will also feature stalls showcasing fertilizers, organic and chemical pesticides, seeds, flower pots, tools, and horticulture technology.
Association President Ramji Prasad Timilsina stated that this year, with the participation of nurseries from outside the Kathmandu Valley, it will be easier to access information about products from all over the country.
Timilsina added that the expo is expected to attract at least 51,000 visitors and generate financial transactions worth more than Rs 12.5 million.
