T20 WC: Pakistan vs New Zealand head-to-head tomorrow in semi-final 1

New Zealand and Pakistan are set to wrestle with each other on Wednesday, November 9 in the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

The match will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia at Nepal’s 1:45 PM, and the toss will take place 30 minutes prior to the match.

Pakistan is led by Babar Azam while New Zealand is led by Kane Williamson in the tournament. While Pakistan was part of group 2 in the super 12 round, New Zealand belonged to group 1.

New Zealand topped the group 1 points table after finishing with 7 points and the highest net run rate of +2.113. Pakistan finished in 2nd place in the group 2 points table with 5 points.

New Zealand have not been able to play great against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup history. Pakistan is the one-time winner of the World T20 Trophy, while New Zealand was the runners-up in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

In head-to-head encounters in T20Is, New Zealand and Pakistan have played 28 matches against each other. New Zealand has won 11 games and Pakistan has won 17 matches. In T20I World Cup tournaments, Pakistan has defeated New Zealand 4 times while the latter has won 2 games.

Similarly, India and England will wrestle with each other in the semi-final 2 on Thursday.

The winners of semifinal 1 and semifinal 2 will compete for the title of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on next Sunday.
