
Three Arrested in Parsa for Alleged Murder of Friend Over Gambling Dispute


Parsa police have arrested three individuals on charges of murdering their own friend following a gambling dispute.
The suspects have been identified as Mukesh Prasad Yadav, Arun Kumar Yadav, and Muna Tiwari, all aged 19, from Birgunj Metropolitan City Ward No. 27, Parsa.
According to the police, the trio allegedly killed their friend Ishaal Prasad Kurmi after a quarrel broke out over money while playing cards. The suspects admitted to the police that they threw Kurmi’s body into the Bhedaha River after the altercation.
Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra of the District Police Office, Parsa, reported that Kurmi, son of Jogindra Prasad Kurmi from Udayapur Ghurmi, had left home on Falgun 7, stating he was going to work. When he did not return, his family filed a missing person report on Falgun 8.
Subsequently, the police discovered Kurmi’s body floating in the Bhedaha River on Falgun 11. Investigations revealed that the dispute had erupted over Rs 3,500 during a card game, which ultimately led to Kurmi’s death.
The three suspects have been remanded in custody, and further investigations are underway. Police have assured that additional information will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
