US Assistant Secretary of State Lu meets NC President Deuba

United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, who had arrived in Kathmandu earlier today, held talks with former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Assistant Secretary Lu reached the Deuba’s residence in Dhumbarahi to call on Deuba.

The former prime minister took to Twitter to announce a productive meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral ties between Nepal and the United States, with both leaders engaging in constructive discussions on various areas of cooperation.

President Deuba expressed his honor at the opportunity to meet with Assistant Secretary Donald Lu, acknowledging the importance of the United States’ support in Nepal’s pursuit of peace, democracy, and development. Through the discussions, the two explored avenues for further collaboration and mutually beneficial initiatives that could positively impact both nations.
