Ward Member Among Two Killed in Bhojpur Road Accident

Two people, including a local elected representative, lost their lives in a road accident that occurred at Setibagar in Bhojpur Municipality-3 on Friday night.

The incident happened when a tractor (Province 1-02-003 Ta. 1124) transporting cow dung from Bokhim in Ward No. 5 overturned.

Among the deceased are 52-year-old Nir Prasad Phuyal, a ward member of Bhojpur Municipality-5, and 55-year-old Bhakta Bahadur Thapa, a resident of the same ward, confirmed District Police Office Chief Yubaraj Timsina.

Authorities have taken the tractor driver into custody, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway, police said.
