Ambassador Sharma Leads Charge to Attract Indian Investors Ahead of NIS 2024

In anticipation of the forthcoming Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024, an Industry Outreach Meet ignited enthusiasm in New Delhi on April 11, 2024. Organized by the Embassy of Nepal in India in collaboration with the PHDCCI India-Nepal Center, the event aimed to galvanize participation from Indian industry leaders and spotlight investment prospects in Nepal.

Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, along with Sushil Bhatta, CEO of Investment Board Nepal, took center stage during the meet, offering comprehensive insights into lucrative sectors for investment in Nepal. Notable sectors highlighted included hydropower, tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing. Presentations underscored Nepal’s unwavering commitment to fostering an investor-friendly environment, underscored by recent policy overhauls and streamlined business procedures.

The eagerly anticipated NIS 2024, slated for April 28-29 in Kathmandu, pledges to forge connections between investors and key decision-makers, explore a spectrum of projects, and showcase Nepal’s developmental initiatives. The Government of Nepal is resolutely focused on luring foreign investment to propel the nation’s economic advancement.
