Goldy Brar, Suspected Mastermind Behind Sidhu Moosewala’s Murder, Fatally Shot in the U.S.

Goldy Brar, the primary suspect behind the infamous murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has reportedly been killed in a targeted attack in the United States, as per media sources. Brar, who had been labeled a terrorist by India’s Home Ministry, was allegedly shot on Tuesday evening at the intersection of Fairmont and Holt Avenue.

Asianet News, referencing American media outlets, reported that the incident occurred at approximately 5:25 PM when Brar and a friend were outside a residence. The assailants, whose identities remain unclear, abruptly opened fire before escaping the scene.

Emergency services quickly transported Brar and his companion to a nearby hospital, where Brar succumbed to his injuries. His friend’s condition has not been disclosed.

Details surrounding the attack are still emerging, and an official confirmation from authorities is pending. Preliminary reports suggest that the shooting may have been orchestrated by Brar’s rivals, Arsh Dalla and Lakhbir, who purportedly declared responsibility citing a deep-seated vendetta.

This incident appears to be the latest in a series of violent acts linked to a gang rivalry that intensified after the death of Moosewala in Jawaharke village, Mansa, on May 29, 2022. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang initially claimed responsibility for Moosewala’s murder. However, in a shocking televised confession, Brar later admitted to orchestrating the hit due to Moosewala’s alleged involvement in the killing of Bishnoi’s associate, Vicky Midukhera.

According to Brar’s own admission, he arranged for six gunmen from Haryana and Punjab to carry out the fatal attack on Moosewala. The alleged retaliation and subsequent shooting of Brar underscore the ongoing and deadly feud within these criminal networks.

Further updates and official statements are awaited as the investigation into Brar’s death continues.
